About us:

Kalayaan Incorporated is a non-profit public benefit corporation in the State of California and is classified as a public charity organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Purpose:

1. To organize, plan, prepare, manage, and implement the annual Philippine Independence Day celebration in Southern California.
2. To raise funds to finance the Philippine Independence Day celebration and for charitable projects of the corporation.
3. Provide relief to the poor, distressed, underprivileged, victims of calamities and disasters.
4. Advancement of literary, educational, cultural, and historical purposes.
5. Construction or maintenance of public buildings, monuments (e.g Jose Rizal Monument).
6. Foster unity and camaraderie among Filipino-American residents in Southern California.
